I think that educating people to be tolerant, the topic which I wrote about in my competition essay, should begin during one’s school years. It’s the most convenient place, as we spend a great of time in school and here there are children with different interests. In one way or another, we communicate and “live” next to each other. It’s important to teach youngsters of different nationalities not simply to live close by each other, but to live together. In my school, we have regular group counseling sessions and forums for debate. We also role-play different situations and play sports together. And all of us, Belorussians, Komi, Russians, and Afro-
